Northern State University seeks a dynamic individual to join our team as a Career Services Coordinator.
Job Duties: Provide individualized career consultation to students.
* This position works with undergraduate and graduate students to provide personalized career development appointments and activities.
* This position provides leadership and direction for the implementation of career development and employment search resources for undergraduate and graduate students. * In addition, this position provides career counseling/coaching services to undecided students and students considering a change of major.
* The office will also assist students applying for graduate or professional schools, and maintain resources to supplement this service.
* Develop and teach seminars for resume writing, cover letters, job interview etiquette
* Collaborate with faculty in each school for internship promotion and preparation.
* Collaborate with career development director from other universities, Institutional Research, and other partners

Knowledge and Experience
Other requirements: Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating programs; organizational skills and ability to plan and execute large-scale events. Strong communication skills, presentation skills, and networking experience, ability to collaborate with faculty and other campus personnel and offices. Experience with technology and career-related software platforms. Some supervisory experience, budget management experience. Ability to use remote conferencing and virtual platforms for networking and program delivery.
This position is a part of the Student Success Center at NSU which includes professionals in tutoring, academic advising, academic support, career services, American Indian Circle Program, TRIO Student Support Services, TRIO Upward Bound and supplemental instruction.
Required qualifications
Master’s degree in counseling, education, student personnel services, human resources, psychology, or related field with at least two years’ direct experience working in career services or academic advising, recruiting, or human resources preferred.
