We are looking for a dedicated and professional Front Desk Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-office experience. This position involves a combination of administrative, customer service, and support tasks, making it a key role in optimizing clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Front Desk Representative, your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Patient Services:
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients, optimizing provider time and treatment room utilization.
- Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers of arrivals and delays.
- Comfort patients by addressing concerns, answering questions, and maintaining a clean, welcoming reception area.
Administrative Tasks:
- Process insurance payments and assist patients with paperwork.
- Maintain accurate patient records and accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and clinic policies.
- Ensure availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records promptly.
- Maintain operations by following clinic policies and contributing to team efforts.
Required qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years experience preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience as an office assistant or in a customer service role.
- Proven multitasking and time management abilities.
- Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
