Position Summary
The Continuous Improvement Leader, is responsible for developing and implementing a continuous improvement program & culture throughout the organization. Championing continuous improvement within Banner by working with functional leaders to identify & deploy initiatives. This person will be a hands-on facilitator for Lean events and activities.
This position reports to Senior Director of Global Manufacturing.
What You’ll Be Doing
Champions a continuous improvement culture throughout the enterprise, guided by the Lean operating principle of continuous improvement
Works with functional leaders to convert strategic deployment objectives into focused project and kaizen action events to achieve sustained performance improvement
Monitors progress against plan and provides feedback to Leadership
Serves as a “hands-on” facilitator, coaches others, and participates in Lean events and activities, including:
Value Steam Mappings
Operational strategy development.
Kaizen events
Measurement system design for all levels of Tier Review
Root Cause Analysis
Work Place Design with Visual Management, Kanban, Five S, Poka-yoke
Standard Work Practices
Provides direction to and development of Lean Champions
Ensures that improvement actions are aligned across diverse organization functions and align to corporate initiatives

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field required.
2+ years of project management or training or leadership experience with increasing responsibility for lean implementation efforts
3+ years of continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, 5S
Requires knowledge and use of lean principles
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Broad range of computer skills—database, spreadsheet, statistics applications, etc.
Strong working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis
Self-directed, effective communicator
Project management skills
Ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change
Comfortable working with individuals at all organizational levels
Travel between Remote Manufacturing facilities in South Dakota weekly, to Minneapolis HQ/Distribution Center occasionally
Preferred
Six Sigma and Lean certifications
