Job Title: Performance Appraiser,


Job Summary:
Far Group is currently seeking for a performance appraisal trainer to do a 2 days performance appraisal training in Pierre, SD.


Objectives:
Training must be in accordance with CNGBI 1400.25, Vol. 431 dated 20 January 2022, SDNG
PAM 600-431.


Training Objectives include:


Performance Appraisal Concepts and Terms Overview
Duties, Job Elements and Critical Elements
Developing Performance-based job elements that are linked to the agency’s strategic plan and metrics utilizing the employee position description
Identifying Critical elements
Develop Performance Standards (Quality, Quantity and Timeliness)
Manner of Performance Standards (Level Dependent) Developing Realistic Measurements

(expectations too high or low, eliminating subjective metrics)


Writing a Performance Plan
Getting Employee Input and Buy In
How to conduct Progress reviews
How to evaluate performance
Reward, correct, train based on employee’s strengths and weaknesses
Steps to take when employee is not meeting the standards (PIP, etc)
Practical exercises that make the supervisors think/work through the processes along the way
Discussion on DCPDS system use or common issues that may occur while using the

DCPDS system.


Background:


The purpose of Performance Appraisal training is to expose and train management on best practices to link individual accountability to organizationa outcomes to build a high performance organization using critical elements and performance standards as a vehicle for communicating expectations of both excellence aimprovement for federal employees.
This training is intended to provide supervisors / management the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to develop elements and standards that encourage individuals to perfect new and better work habits, techniques to ensure clearer communication so employees understand what they must do to become better, better to become best.

Period of Performance :
The Period of Performance shall be 2 days . Expected days for trainin are Wednesday and Thursday.


Place and Performance of Services:
The candidae shall provide services in Pierre, SD.


Working Hours:
The candidae shall provide services between the hours of 0700-1700 on Wednesday through Thursday,
16-20 hours in


Special Qualifications:
Training must be in accordance with CNGBI 1400.25, Vol. 431 dated 20 January 2022, SDNG PAM
600-431.


Requirements :
The candidate is required to provide all materials required to meet the training needs.


Experience:


Trainer should have at least 20 years training federal performance management and experience with the National Guard.
Ability to provide high level training using that knowledge and experience.
